Kurtis is an amazing kid.  He does not fit into what most think of as the typical teen mold.  He is polite, smart, funny, articulate, sensitive, strong, and a wonderful (and don't forget handsome) son.  We are very proud of him and the wonderful young man he is becoming.

For his birthday this year my Dad, Step-Mom, my in-laws and Jeff and I went in on a Snowbird season pass.  We didn't tell him about it, but asked him if he'd like to go to Snowbird for Oktoberfest.  The pass was a surprise and "one of the best gifts ever" according to Kurtis.

Tram and chairs.  Ahh, I can just feel the powder now!
Face paint for the girls.  Kurtis went back and forth and finally decided not to get paint.

 How do we look?

We looked at all the shops but Kurtis didn't find anything he couldn't live without.

 Me and my boy.

 Fish like french fries.

There were some big fish.

 They like spit too.  Ewww!

A really awesome tree full of huge ants!

It was a very nice day with the family.
