Climb Climing Climber

Ok, so since yesterday I need to revise my list of things that Clarissa can climb as she figured out that using my footstool she can climb on to the lazy boy and she also discovered that she's big enough to climb on the toy box in Lila's room! So now the list reads:
Ottoman
Dishwasher
Dresser Drawers
Stairs up & down!
Toy Box
Lazy Boy

Wow. I really am in trouble.

How many kids with ADD does it take to screw in a light bulb?

Wanna go ride bikes?

Welcome Spring! Clarissa is now old enough to enjoy playing outside! YES!

I'm in for it. Clarissa is going to be a climber. She can now climb up and down the stairs, in and out of the ottoman, dishwasher, and dresser drawers. She even figured out that if she pulls out the bottom dresser drawer in Lila's room she can climb up on Lila's bottom bunk. Uh oh.

Have you ever seen a cuter motorist?

Last night at dinner Lila started crying "I don't want my salad!" I gave her the this is what's for dinner speech and when that didn't work I did the thing you're not supposed to do and tried to bribe her with ice cream. Still, more tears and "I don't like it!" Then she demands "I want a carrot!" Are you kidding me!? Whos child demands a carrot instead of dinner!? She ate the carrot and got ice cream. Go figure?
Hunting eggs. Lila had fun finding and hiding eggs.

Kurtis even joined the fun!

MORE GREEN!

The Green room finalized! And my seedlings are growing! YAY!

What a Zoo!

No, really. We went to the zoo! Some friends invited us to the zoo yesterday. It was a great time. Both the girls enjoyed themselves thoroughly. The giraffe in this picture who Lila called Melman (Madagascar the movie, anyone?) sneezed in my hair. Yep. Giraffe boogers in my locks. Yum-o. Other than that it was just a nice day with some wild animals, and some zoo animals too.

Aunt Renee is waiting!

I can hardly wait to meet my future niece or nephew. Here he/she is in the belly of my beautiful pregnant sister in law, Katie. She is one of those fortunate women who look amazing when they are pregnant. Glowing and beautiful. I'll be meeting "peanut" at the end of the month. Wooo hooo!

Green Garden, Green Room

It was actually like Spring out the past two days! Jeff went and picked up a load of topsoil for me and I unloaded it while the kids played. Then Lila and I planted our winter veggies. I still have a few more seedlings that can't go out until next month. I'm hoping I can keep them alive that long. I wish I had my mother's green thumb.

With the computer room paint job finally completed, Jeff has begun to hang his collection of Creature decks. Now you understand why it was painted "Creature Green."

My favorite. "Creature Face, Oakland Booty."

LILA

Lila was pretending she "Fell of a huge mountain and broke all her bones." You can see by the sad sad faces she made that it must have hurt terribly to fall from such a height. When she isn't looking like the cutest mountaineering accident victim you've ever seen, she's picking out her own clothes. Not too shabby.

My Seedlings

I am beside myself that I have actually managed to grow seedlings! Here are my seed leaves and their evolution over the past four days! One day these will hopefully be yellow crook neck squash, zucchini, watermelon, and green beans!

Spring projects continued...

Every time there is a beautiful sunset Kurtis likes to point out that it's caused by the pollution. Killjoy.
Here are Jeff and the kids painting the playground out back. Lila had a blast painting. After this, the weather warmed up & we were able to play outside and enjoy their handiwork. But, it looks like winter is here still. It has been snowing all morning and it looks like the plants on my kitchen table will have to wait a bit longer to be planted outside. *sigh* Did someone say Florida was nice this time of year?

No, she's not drinking it. It's closed. Pretty funny though!
