Ramp Demo

Jeff had been toying with the idea of taking down our skate ramp for a while.  It doesn't get a lot of use and it takes up a lot of real estate.  So, once we got the chickens it was a no-brainer.  We'd tear down the ramp and use the wood and the space to build a coop!

Day 1
Jeff, Kurtis and I worked about six hours out back taking the plywood off.

Day 2
Later that week while everyone was at work and school I managed to tear down this entire half by myself.  There was a whole lot of trash under there!

 Day 3
I got the other quarter pipe taken down and then Jeff helped me tear up the bottom.  Gross!  There were two dead rats under the ramp and too many spiders to count!

 Littlest helpers.

After help from Jeff, Kurtis and Lila we cleaned it all up and organized the wood.

Jeff wants to make a couple quarter pipes or maybe a mini ramp with those remaining pieces.
Now, to build a chicken coop!
