Christmas vacation Part I

We left our house mid morning on Christmas Eve and flew through Memphis to Jacksonville. It was as uneventful as could be with a toddler, preschooler and teen in tow. Our flights were all on time and there were no mad dashes through any airports so all in all, a good flying day. We didn't arrive at Paul and Dodo's house until past midnight so we had two very tired little ones on our hands. Luckily their house is very comfy and the girls settled right in for the night.

On Christmas day the kids were up at 9am (eastern time) eager to open presents! Santa came and was good to everyone. He even left Lila a note thanking her for the milk and cookies!

One of my favorite Christmas traditions is for my Dad and Step-Mom to come down from Savannah and spend Christmas day with us! We ate all the wonderful food that Dodo got up extra early to make. Not only did she make five pies before we arrived, but she made two wheat and dairy free pumpkin pies just for me! (Thank you Dodo!) We opened presents and enjoyed being together. Kurtis brought along his clarinet so we had a great concert too! A great Christmas!
